Digital solutions for education Websites and learning platforms for education
Students and parents pick a course and enrol online. Your staff update the offer and materials without a developer. We design solutions like these for schools, course providers and learning platforms.
Our clients in education
We work with businesses and institutions across education: training and course providers, private schools, nurseries and language schools, and companies developing learning apps. Each has different goals. A course provider needs to fill seats and make enrolment effortless. A school recruits in short, intense windows but stays in touch with parents and students all year. A learning app has to be intuitive, reliable and engaging every single day.
Typical problems schools and course providers face
-
Training and course providers
A schedule with dates and prices, enrolment with payment, materials for participants after purchase.
- Prospects phone to ask about dates instead of enrolling online
- Enrolments and payments handled by hand, in a spreadsheet and over email
- Materials sent as links, with no control over who has access
-
Schools, nurseries and language schools
Admissions once a year, communication with parents all year, and an offer that has to make sense to a parent, not a teacher.
- The website doesn't answer the questions parents ask at the front office
- Admissions mean a PDF form and a queue of phone calls
- News, timetables and documents scattered across several places
-
Learning platforms and apps
A product students and teachers use every day: accounts, materials, progress, payments.
- The idea needs validating with real users before the full product is built
- Scaling from one class to thousands of accounts without a rewrite
- Integrations with the tools schools already use
How we approach an education project
Decisions in education are rare and careful. Parents choose a school for years; learners pay for classes they haven't seen yet. So the website or platform has to answer questions before they're asked, get people enrolled in a few steps, and always show the current offer. That leads to three rules we follow on every education project.
Three rules we stick to
-
Enrolment flow before visuals
We start with how a student or parent finds the offer and what it takes to enrol.
- First, a map of the journey from search to confirmed enrolment
- Forms ask only for what's needed at that step
- Confirmation, payment and materials without the front office
-
Your team runs the content
Offer, dates, staff and news change every term, so they can't depend on a developer.
- A content management system shaped around what actually changes
- A new course or group is an entry in the panel, not a ticket
- One source of content for the website, newsletter and materials
-
Accessible and mobile first
Parents read on their phone on the way home from work, students on a school laptop, some users with a screen reader.
- Fast loading on a weak connection and older hardware
- WCAG: contrast, keyboard navigation, screen readers, clear forms
- Copy written for parents and students, not for the curriculum
What we build for education
The four kinds of projects that make the most sense to start with in education. Each begins with the enrolment or learning process, not with technology.
A website with your offer and online enrolment
A catalogue of courses, programmes or groups with dates and prices, filters by level, age and location, enrolment with online payment and automatic confirmation. School admissions as a step-by-step form instead of a PDF.
The result? Enrolments come in around the clock, and the front office answers the questions the website doesn't, instead of retyping applications.
Learn more: custom websitesA platform for courses and learning materials
Participant accounts, access to materials after purchase, video lessons and files, progress and certificates. We build the platform around your model or connect the website to the LMS you already use.
The result? Materials reach only those who have paid, and your staff can see who stopped and where.
Learn more: custom web applicationsAn MVP of your learning app
A first version of a learning app that tests the idea with real students and teachers: the core features, accounts, payments, and measurement of how people actually use it. An architecture ready to grow once the product takes off.
The result? Investment decisions based on user behaviour, not on a pitch deck.
Learn more: MVPMaintenance and growth between terms
Updates, backups, monitoring and hosting on Cloudflare, plus development in the rhythm of the school year: a new offer before admissions, new features over the summer when traffic is lowest.
The result? A website and platform ready for peak admissions, with no outage on the day enrolment opens.
Learn more: support and maintenanceHow we work with schools and education businesses
Step 1
Mapping the enrolment journey and your team's work
We start by talking to the front office, teaching staff and whoever sells the courses: where prospects come from, where they drop out of enrolment, which questions keep coming back by phone. We check the systems you already use: the school register, LMS, payments, newsletter. From that comes the project scope and the list of integrations.
Step 2
Design and phased delivery
A design for the audience: parents, students or adult learners. Copy that makes sense without knowing the curriculum. Technology sized to your scale. We deliver in phases, offer and enrolment first, then materials and accounts, so your next admissions round can run on the new website.
Step 3
Growth in the rhythm of the school year
After launch we track enrolments and enquiries, fix what isn't working, and plan development around the calendar: a new offer before admissions, bigger changes over the summer, when nobody loses access to their materials.
Every stage ends with a working version you can show to students and parents.
Questions we hear from schools and education businesses
Yes, provided the system offers an API or another way to exchange data; we check this before we quote. Most often we connect the website to online payments, an LMS and a newsletter tool, and pass enrolments into the system your front office already works in.
We design so that student and parent data is processed in line with GDPR: parental consent built into the form, data minimisation, access control for materials and accounts, encryption. We agree the regulatory scope at the start of the project with your data protection officer.
We build to WCAG guidelines: colour contrast, keyboard navigation, screen reader support, clear forms and error messages. For public institutions with a statutory accessibility obligation, we agree the required conformance level and the accessibility statement as part of the project scope.
With an MVP: we pick the core features that test the idea with real students, build a first version with accounts, payments and usage measurement, then grow what users actually use. You get a concrete scope and timeline with the quote, after a free consultation.
With a free audit: we review speed, Google visibility, the path from offer to enrolment, and the questions the website leaves unanswered. The findings show whether fixes are enough or a new website makes more sense, and we quote on that basis.
