About me
For over 15 years I have been building web solutions of every scale - from fast static sites and content platforms, through extensive e-commerce platforms, to custom business applications and the backend of systems serving a large number of users.
Today I focus primarily on Astro, React and TypeScript. The frontend is a strong part of my work - implementing UI from designs and design systems, responsiveness, animations, interactions and performance optimization. I pay attention not only to design fidelity but also to UX and how users actually work with the product.
At the same time my experience goes beyond the visual layer. I design application architecture, work with the backend and APIs, and integrate headless CMSs as well as external systems and services. I then see the project as a whole - from the user interface and business logic to data flow and integrations.
An important part of my work is also deployment and infrastructure - CI/CD, Docker and cloud environments, Azure in particular, but also AWS, GCP and, currently, solutions built on Cloudflare.
From legacy systems to a modern stack
Over the years I have also worked with the technologies and platforms much of the existing web and e-commerce is built on - among others Magento 1 and 2, PrestaShop, WooCommerce, WordPress, Drupal and classic PHP-based solutions.
When modernizing an older project I therefore know not only the technology we are migrating to, but also understand the system we are leaving - its structure, data, integrations, custom logic and the constraints of its existing architecture.
I use that experience in migrations to modern solutions built on Astro, React, headless architecture and modern e-commerce, including Medusa.js and Shopify. To me a migration is never a simple rewrite - first the valuable data, business processes, integrations and features have to be identified, then deliberately carried over into the new architecture.
This lets me look at modernization from both sides: I know the realities of older systems and work in a modern stack every day.
How I approach projects
I like to look at a project more broadly than through the lens of a single framework. The choice of technology should follow from the kind of product, how its content is managed, the integrations it needs and the plans for its further development.
What matters to me most is interface quality: fast, intuitive, polished in the details.
